STARS EU: Conditions of Participation

Here you will find the terms and conditions for participation in the university didactic offerings of the Curriculum Lab of STARS EU.

1. Participants

The international teaching programme, offered by the Curriculum Lab (and the Centre for Teaching and Learning), is aimed at lecturers within the university alliance STARS EU. Participation in the events is free of charge.

2. Offer and Confirmation

All university didactic workshop offers for lecturers are published on the homepage of the Centre for Teaching and Learning in the International Teaching section. Registration takes place by completing and submitting the relevant online form. Participants then receive an automatic reply confirming receipt of their registration.

In the second step, participants are added to the list of registered attendees and receive a confirmation of registration. If a workshop is already fully booked, the registration will be placed on a waiting list. There is no entitlement to a place on a workshop.

Registration is binding. Should a cancellation nevertheless be necessary, please send it by email to starseu(at)hs-bremen.de as soon as possible – at least 3 days prior to the start of the workshop – to allow other lecturers to participate.

3. Implementation of the Offer and Cancellation

The Curriculum Lab and Centre for Teaching and Learning are obliged to carry out the workshop offers as announced. Changes in timing, location and staffing are reserved.

However, if the specified minimum number of participants is not reached seven days before the start of the event, or if the lecturer cancels the event at short notice, participants will be informed immediately and the event will be cancelled. There is no entitlement to reimbursement of costs incurred as a result, such as travel or hotel expenses.

4. Certificate of Participation

A certificate of participation will be issued if a participant has attended at least 80% of the workshop time and has actively contributed to the workshop.

5. Electronic Storage of Personal Data

The Centre for Teaching and Learning stores and processes personal data required for registration and the implementation of further education offers, in order to fulfil its tasks.
